“FIRST is excited to be working with the Africa Cyber Defense Forum (ACDF) to support a vibrant and connected cybersecurity community and deliver operationally relevant training alongside October’s ACDF. As a global community of incident response teams and practitioners, we hope this training will support meaningful capacity building for participants. We also aim to foster lasting connections and ongoing collaboration locally, regionally, and globally.
This collaboration is being led by our two excellent Africa regional liaisons, Lawrence and Eric, who are working to provide mentorship, facilitate information sharing, and engage with stakeholders to strengthen cybersecurity in the region. Our Africa regional liaison initiative is funded by United Kingdom International Development as part of the Africa Cyber Programme and helps the FIRST community to support the priorities and ambitions of the Africa incident response community. This training is just one part of the effort, and we look forward to growing our partnership and collaborations across the region,” said Klée Aiken is the Director – Community & Capacity Building, Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams
