Overview

The Africa Cyber Defense Forum (ACDF), with Enovise and SOCRadar, is convening a half-day executive breakfast in Nairobi on cyber threat intelligence and resilience. The event brings together CISOs, IT and risk leaders, regulators, and security practitioners from across East Africa to confront a sobering reality: the region’s rapid digital transformation has outpaced its collective cyber defence posture.

Context

East Africa is digitising at speed. Mobile money, fintech, e-government, and critical infrastructure are scaling rapidly — and so is exposure. The National KE-CIRT/CC reports hundreds of millions of cyber threat events each quarter, while regulators tighten enforcement under the Data Protection Act, the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act, and CBK cybersecurity guidance. Yet most organisations remain reactive: chasing alerts, short on talent, and operating without visibility into the threats actually targeting them. This event addresses that gap.

Objectives

Provide a clear-eyed view of the current threat landscape facing East African enterprises and public institutions

Demonstrate how modern threat intel shifts organisations from reactive defence to proactive anticipation

Share practical, regionally relevant frameworks for building cyber resilience under real-world constraints

Strengthen the regional and continental cyber defence community through candid peer exchange
