Ida Ng’anga is the Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Consortium for Development. She is also the Regional Partner for ComTecDev, UNESCO Chair for Emerging Practices in Information Communication Technologies based at Université Bordeaux Montaigne, France.
She is leading research on the impact of emerging technologies in the era of cyberthreats (artificial intelligence, IoT, and blockchain) as well as data protection policies.
Ida has a long track record in the use of ICT for massive developmental impact having won many awards and is on the advisory committees for Government – AfriNIC, Africa Strategy 2020 – ICANN and Child Online Protection, Communications Authority.
She is President, Women in STEM Network and Co-Chair, Internet for Development GC. She is a Google partner on Online Safety as well as a Lead Ambassador for Africa Code Week (SAP, UNESCO).
